COMPASS Benefits

COMPASS is a truly convergent Customer Care & Billing software product that is priced dramatically lower than its competition. COMPASS was designed from its inception to manage the business stream for telephony, cable, and Internet products and services within a fully integrated framework. COMPASS also easily manages the business stream for other usage- and/or subscription-based services, such electricity, gas, and water.

COMPASS's underlying technology enables solutions to be deployed and implemented in a robust and flexible fashion.

Client-Server Deployment

A service provider has the following three COMPASS back-end server deployment options:

  1. A service provider may choose to manage COMPASS's back-end server on their own premises on their own equipment and with their own staff or;

  2. A service provider may choose to run COMPASS's back-end server on their own premises on their own equipment and managed remotely by PluraSoft's staff or;

  3. A service provider may engage PluraSoft to fully manage and host dedicated back-end COMPASS server for them, whereby the server would be hosted in an enterprise-class co-location facility maintaining the highest levels of security, network connectivity through a VPN or private network, and uninterruptible power.

Please note that all deployment options require a service provider to manage the client side of the client-server application. These deployment options offer decreasing investment requirements on the part of the service provider. The last option completely eliminates the need for a service provider to invest in hardware, software, and on-going support for the server side of the client-server application, which often involves significant capital expenditures, operating costs, and administrative efforts for smaller organizations. At any time, the COMPASS back-end server can be moved "in-house" from the remotely hosted environment without disrupting a service provider's operations. For more information on remote COMPASS back-end server management, please visit the Services page of our website.

COMPASS supports multiple languages on two levels:

  1. At the data level, COMPASS supports any language. Invoices, letters, and other documents can be generated in your customers’ language of preference. COMPASS also supports different currencies and address and telephone formats;

  2. At the interface level, COMPASS users can select the language in which they prefer to work and can easily switch from one language to another within the same session.
